We’re textile nerds so we are going to describe our Infinity-ish Scarf in the only way we know how:

Most woven scarves are what’s called a single cloth fabric, and the weave structures are generally basic dobby weaves such as twill, tabby or basket weaves.  The construction of most commercially produced scarves is usually very loose and light weight.  Our scarf is a Jacquard woven fabric packed with the highest quality yarns.  Our construction is not a single cloth, but a 4 layer construction.  2 of the layers are stitched together through weave structures so the scarf comes off the loom as a tube. We engineered the weaves so that certain areas like the edges and the tabs are connected. We consider all of the layers when designing.  There is no front or back.  We also paid attention to the design inside the tube so our scarf is really quadruple sided.

 This special Jacquard construction was designed to create a scarf that can be worn several different ways:  as a traditional scarf, as a cardigan, and as a full-loop infinity style scarf.  It’s fun to play and experiment with this scarf to find your favorite ways to wear it.

 We are proud of the fact that we made the warp for this scarf using 100% textile up-cycled leftover small quantities of wool yarn.

The amount of yarns packed into our scarf is about 5-6 times that of a standard wool/alpaca scarf.  It will have a lot more bulk than you are used to. The warp’s made from an exceptionally fine high-quality wool yarn. The alpaca weft yarns we used are all natural undyed colors.  Alpaca is a smart fiber that traps and releases heat. It stores your body heat as well as transports excess heat out.  This scarf is the warmest scarf both of us have ever owned.  We believe the ones we’ve been using and testing for over a year will outlast any of the other items in our closet.
