Unlike creating a design for printed fabrics, in Jacquard wovens each color in the artwork doesn’t represent a color in the final product. In a woven design, each color in the image is a code for the loom. To create a suitable artwork for a jacquard fabric, the artwork needs to be created with knowledge of construction, weave structures, yarn & fiber properties and number of warp and weft layers in mind.
